British Gas launch WebSaver 5

British Gas has today launched WebSaver 5 as a direct but cheaper replacement to WebSaver 4 which is being withdrawn with immediate effect. WebSaver 5 is an online energy account where prices are guaranteed to be 6% lower than the British Gas standard tariff until 28th February 2011, so regardless of whether prices go up or down the tariff will always be 6% lower than the standard prices

Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 is available to dual fuel (gas and electricity) customers only. There is not an option for gas or electricity only Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 is available as online account with monthly direct debit payment only.

British Gas Cut Prices by 10%

British Gas announced they will cut gas prices by 10% on the 19 feb ,the reduction will apply to all customers on british gas ,standard tariff, benefiting more than 7.5 million homes. the cut price which will save customers £79 on the average annual household gas bill ,is the first standard gas tariff cut by a major energy supplier since 2007,also there will be a ,prompt payment discount, of up to £15 per year for customers on standard gas tariffs who pay quarterly ,those who pay direct debit will have an automatic 10% reduction on the 19th.
