British Gas launch WebSaver 5

British Gas has today launched WebSaver 5 as a direct but cheaper replacement to WebSaver 4 which is being withdrawn with immediate effect. WebSaver 5 is an online energy account where prices are guaranteed to be 6% lower than the British Gas standard tariff until 28th February 2011, so regardless of whether prices go up or down the tariff will always be 6% lower than the standard prices

British Gas today launched WebSaver 4 as a direct replacement to WebSaver 3 and at the same time took pole position in the standard customer best price position in three areas of the UK.

Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 is available to dual fuel (gas and electricity) customers only. There is not an option for gas or electricity only Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 is available as online account with monthly direct debit payment only.

Scottish and Southern energy announce price cut

scottish and southern energy have announced today a price cut across its domestic electricity and gas tariffs average prices will fall 9% on electricity and 4% on gas ,the price cut will apply to existing customers from the 30th of march 2009 ,they are the 2nd main supplier to reduce prices over the last two weeks with others soon to follow although very much welcomed some prices went up 50% in 2008
